The National Transportation and Safety Board are recommending that the national drunk-driving alcohol limit be lowered... from .08% to .05%, according to  ABC News.

Many other countries in the world already operate under this rule and one that the board hopes will curb drunk driving in the US.

Each state would have to individually adopt the new limit which takes quite a bit of time to accomplish.

The new limit would mean an 180 pound man could only have a one or two drinks in an hour, unlike three or four which is possible under the current limit.

The New Jersey Restaurant Association has come out in opposition to the idea, saying many people concerned that they would be found drunk after one glass of wine might just stay home instead.

How do you feel?  Is a .08% drunk-driving limit adequate or too low?  Does lowering the limit put an unfair burden on the South Jersey tourism industry?
