The first ever Super Bowl winning team to make the trip to our nation's capitol were the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1980 back when Jimmy Carter was president. However it wasn't until President Ronald Reagan and the 1987 Super Bowl Champs, the New York Giants, that it became a special annual tradition, according to ABC News.

Fast forward to 2018 and the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the champs have made no plans, as of yet, to visit D.C. Some of the players are even against it.

According to a report from the NY Times, plans are in the works for the team to visit the the White House. In the past, championship winning teams have made the trip to D.C.  to meet President Trump in March or April of any given year.

Should the Super Bowl Champs visit the White House? Take our poll and let us know what you think.
