Is Sesame Street the right setting to focus on breastfeeding?  A group saying it's sponsored by "breastfeeding mothers and their supporters everywhere" thinks so, and they're attempting to get 5000 signatures... in an online petition.

The site says: "Back in the 70's and 80's nursing was tastefully shown on the show but now they have replaced their nursing videos with bottles."

The group, which claims to have 3000 signatures so far, says their goal is not to remove bottle feeding from the show, but to show both methods of nursing.

It seems to me - be it on Sesame Street or on your street in South Jersey- the key word used is "tastefully".   But I would like to hear what you think.

Should they return to showing breastfeeding again on the TV show Sesame Street ( I've attached a video which shows how the program handled it in the past) and how you feel about out in everyday public view?

Give me your feedback in the comments section below...

- Should Sesame Street bring back breastfeeding?

- Are the children who watch the show too young for the topic?

- Are breastfeeding moms discriminated against in society today?

-Do some breastfeeding mothers flaunt the practice, making too much of a public display ?

Are people too uptight about something that is perfectly natural and beautiful?
