ShotSpotter System Coming To Atlantic City [AUDIO]

On Hurley In The Morning Wednesday morning on WPG Talk Radio 1450, Tom Gilbert of the Atlantic City Tourism District announced details on the ShotSpotter system coming to Atlantic City.
ShotSpotter sensors are being set-up across portions of Atlantic City in the near future that will assist police officials in locating where a gunshot is fired. According to their website, ShotSpotter Flex detects and locates gunfire incidents and gathers gunfire intelligence in its effort to improve the safety, security, and quality of life for area residents by ridding the city of gun crime and gun violence. ShotSpotter Flex is the only wide-area acoustic surveillance gunshot detection, alert, and analysis solution in the world. The system delivers critical data and actionable information that public safety and law enforcement agencies can use to respond to gunfire incidents faster and more safely.
