We cannot wait to meet the cute baby giraffe coming to Cape May County Zoo this Spring!

Born on November 17, the male giraffe weighed 150 pounds and 6 feet tall...sort of like middle schoolers these days, amirite?

Cape May County Zoo made the announcement Wednesday on their Facebook page:

Since the little guy was born a bit too late, he'll make his debut during the spring. I don't imagine him enjoying this brisk winter weather so much, anyhow!

The calf is his mother Joanie's third born with one sister also at Cape May Zoo. NJ.com mentions the little guy doesn't have a name yet, but word on the street is that the zoo may hold a naming contest.

Some suggestions I have in mind:

  • Shortie
  • Geoffrey
  • Kylo
  • Hamm
  • Peter
  • Spot
  • Hickey
  • Jimbo
  • Athol
