Things like this just don't happen in Sea Isle City.

That's the general tenor of comments responding to a Facebook post by Sea Isle City Police about a strong-armed robbery last week. During the robbery the victim was threatened at gunpoint and tied to a chair in the garage of a home on 47th Street.

Police are asking for your help identifying three suspects in the crime.

Here is the police report from the Sea Isle Police Facebook page...

"On Thursday July 21st 2016 at 0314hrs, Officers from the Sea Isle City Police Department responded to a residence on 300 Block of 47th Place for a report of an armed robbery. Once on scene it was learned that the suspects (described as 1 black female and 2 masked males believed to be black males based upon victims description) had produced a handgun and bound the victim to a chair in the garage. While the victim was tied up, the trio ransacked the home. Upon entering the upstairs bedroom, the suspects were confronted by the father of the victim and fled the area via unknown vehicle. The investigation into this matter is ongoing. The Cape May County Prosecutors Office along with the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit assisted with this ongoing investigation."
