Santiago Leads Oakcrest with Record Performance at Meet of Champions

Fabian Santiago's last act as a student for Oakcrest High School was one for the record books.  The graduating senior won three races at Monday night's Meet of Champions held in Old Bridge, tying two others in a record for most wins in the 43 years of the track and field competition featuring... the state's best athletes.

Santiago won the 100 and 200 - meter dashes and anchored Oakcrest in their 4 x 100 relay victory.

He told the Press of Atlantic City he had 15 members of his family fly in from as far away as Puerto Rico to watch the Meet of Champions, which was postponed last week because of rain.  Fabian Santiago certainly didn't disappoint his family...or anyone else in his final day as an Oakcrest student!
