March 1st was National Read Across America Day, held annually on or near the birthday of Theodor Geisel, better known… as Dr. Seuss.

Generations of Americans have grown up and learned to read on Dr. Seuss’ books, so his birthday was a logical time to celebrate reading and to promote the love of reading with your kids!

In commemoration of the day, and because I love to read, I went out to read to classes of students at South Jersey schools including the kindergarteners at Roland Rogers Elementary School in Galloway.

Four classes of about 75 kindergarteners came to the school library to have a story read to them and to ask me questions about radio, kids and life.  A fun time was had by all!

Here is a little audio from my visit to Roland Rogers School in Galloway.
