While the question will still be on the ballot in November, a large amount of advertising money to support casino expansion into North Jersey is quickly fading away, signaling the end of the fight for those seeking gaming outside of Atlantic City.

According to politickernj.com, "Our Turn NJ," the group which has been trying to prove to Garden State residents that expanding casino gaming outside of Atlantic City would be a good thing, will stop buying airtime for its commercials.

An analyst with the group said internal polling showed that public distrust of politicians contributed to the underwhelming support for amending the state constitution to allow gaming halls outside of the World's Playground.

The group, lead by Paul Fireman and Meadowlands Racetrack owner Jeffrey Gural, both say New Jersey should expand casino gaming to off-set what is being lost to adjacent states, but they are facing overwhelming odds.

Just last weekend, Jeffrey Gural appeared on Townsquare Media's WPG Talk Radio 104.1 and gave his pitch for a casino at the Meadowlands....
