If you buy a copy of the Press of Atlantic City at the newsstand or your local convenience store on the way to work in the morning, you are facing a price increase effective immediately.

The newsstand price of the Press for its daily edition has increased 50¢, from $1 to $1.50.

I didn't see any explanation in the paper of the 50% increase in price, but the man behind the counter at the Northfield 7-11 was quick to point out the new higher price to me, and only laughed when I asked if The Press would now feature 50% better news.
