The identity of the woman whose decaying body was found stuffed in a suitcase behind the old Shore Mall Sunday afternoon is now known.  Many other aspects of this crime remain unclear tonight.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain identified the woman as Tara Rogers-Alicea, 30, of Monroeville, Gloucester County. an autopsy showed that Rogers-Alicea died from strangulation.

Pictures of the woman's tattoos released to the public and fingerprint analysis helped confirm her identity.

A hunter found Rogers-Alicea's remains Sunday afternoon in the woods near Harbor Square, the former Shore Mall in the Cardiff section of Egg Harbor Township.

Rogers-Alicea had posted on Facebook of visiting Atlantic City, but it is not clear when that happened.

"I got a room in the water club borgata.  Hit me the club mur mur is gonna be (poppin') tonight."

Her last social media post was on July 6th.
