Police Arrest Man After Road Rage Incident at Local Convenience Store

Egg Harbor Township Police have made an arrest following an alleged road rage incident that happened this past weekend.

According to EHT Police, a Blackwood man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after he attacked another motorist in the parking lot of the local Wawa convenience store on English Creek and Ocean Heights ave.

Kevin Johnson, 42, of Blackwood allegedly assaulted the victim, struck him in the head with a beer bottle, and also attempted to run him down. Johnson left the scene of the accident. He was later tracked down by police and arrested for driving while intoxicated. Johnson also faces charges of  possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, assault by auto and disorderly conduct.

The victim was treated at the scene by the by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad for injuries to his head, face and neck. He was later transported to Shore Medical Center for further treatment of his injuries. Johnson's bail was set at $25,000.
