It's getting hard to keep up with all the different ways scammers are using to steal your money. The latest comes in a warning from Middle Township Police about a scam that shows real company caller ID read-outs on your phone that are sent from the scammers.

Here's the way this scam plays out.  You receive a call with a caller ID notification of Atlantic City Electric, only it's really not.  You are told that you are behind on your bill and you need to send money immediately to stop your service from being shut off.

What makes this scam even more convincing is that the address given to send a suggested Money Gram is an actual Atlantic City Electric business address. Somehow though, the scammers end up with the money.
