Pictures of the plane, an Airbus A320, show the front end on the ground and the evacuation slides inflated. A tweet from the airport (@PHLAirport) reports all the passengers were safely evacuated from the plane. A separate airport tweet says 1 person was treated and released for minor injuries.

The plane was removed overnight from the runway and investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board will be examining it to try to determine the cause of the accident.

6 ABC reports that most passengers boarded a new flight that landed in Florida shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, but some opted to stay in Philadelphia.

149 passengers and 5 crew members were on board and taken by bus back to the terminal after the accident.
