Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met “Kloe” the dog.

Here’s a little background info on Kloe from the Humane Society of Ocean City…

Kloe is a 7 year old Carmel coated Labrador/Retriever mix.

Kloe is very sweet and a true friend, who loves to smile and wag her tail so much with excitement that her whole body sways.  Kloe could afford to lose a few pounds and would love to find a home where she can run and get a lot of exercise.  So if you think you are the right fit for kloe, stop on by and give her a second chance at finding her forever home.

Hey! I'm "Kloe", the caramel coated puppy dog! I am a doll and a half! Let me tell you a bit about my sweet self, as believe it or not I am looking for a forever home. I was brought to the H.S.O.C. when my former owner suddenly passed away. I am a bronze-ish coated, seven-year old, Labrador Retriever mix, spayed female. I am a true, true friend in the most friendliest of ways!

At first I was kind of shy here at the shelter, of course being unsure of the where and why I was even here. Goodness, I was still grieving for my papa! Now that I have gotten used to things, I have really come out of my furry little shell! I am the type of dog that smiles a mile wide. When it comes to wagging, I put my whole body into the sway! Joy oozes from my entire being! Could you be part of my happy ending? Come by soon to see me if you think so!"
