Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met “Chloe” the dog.

Here’s a little background info on Chloe from the Humane Society of Ocean City…

Chloe is a 2-year-old America staffordshire terrier (pit bull) mix who is looking for an only0pet situation.

“Funny, funny, sweet, little, chocolate baby girl! That's me! I am "Chloe"! I am a pit bull mix gal doggie, looking for a great forever home. I am just two-years old, and have the most delicious chocolaty brown coat, with precious white socks!

I was rescued from another shelter, to allow more pups to find a safe haven. So here I am at the H.S.O.C. making the best of things. While I wait for my brand new family, I have enjoyed making new people friends, going for walkies, and playing with lots and lots of toys! Well, while we are on the subject of new families, mine would have to be just right.

I am a large girl with a lot of enthusiasm, who is not too, too keen on making nice with other critters as of right now. I still have some manners that could use some polishing up, so I may knock over small children.

Older kids could probably work out well, as they may be able to make me a tired and therefore happy canine. I am an oh so loving gal, who really could use a fine home. If you think that you could be that fine home, come see the Chlo-bug for yourself! See ya then!"“

If you would like to visit Chloe or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-399-2018 or stop in any day between 11a-3p.To adopt from the HSOC you will need one form of identification, which includes your name, permanent address and proof of ownership (i.e., local tax stub).
