Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met "Suzette" the cat. Suzette is about 5-years-old, a black and white short-haired spayed female.  She would work best as an only pet,  in a no kids situation.

Here is more on Suzette from the Humane Society of Ocean City...
"Nobody likes to be left alone, right? Loneliness is a very sad place to be indeed! Well, I'm Suzette, and I know a thing or two about that subject. See, I was found abandoned in an apartment by a landlord and a kindly security guard. They say that I was there for days! Even when I did come to the H.S.O.C., my former owner never bothered to even call to see how I was doing! Sad, sad, stuff for a young, kitty, gal like myself! I am really a darling despite all that I have been through.
The shelter staff feel that judging by my teeth, that I am about five years of age. I am all dressed up in a kitty tuxedo with a black coat, and a set of white socks with a bib to match! I have an endearing personality, and "meow" when you stop by to visit me, which you will, right? Of course!
My needs are not much, love, food, comfy places to lounge, maybe some toys, and oh, yes a caring forever family! My character is such that I would probably fit well in to almost any home, so what do you have to lose? Stop by and see me in person real, real soon!

If you would like to visit Suzette or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-399-2018 or stop in any day between 11a-3p
