October is Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month

Meet the newest addition to my family, Josie. The best way to celebrate Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month is to bring home a new best friend! Every year there are over 3-4 million animals waiting for their second chance and their forever home. If you're thinking about adding a new best friend, please consider adopting a dog from your local shelter.

Josie will be our third rescue dog. It's such a great feeling to come home to a wagging tail after a long day at work. Dogs are not only your best friend but, having a pet can also make you feel less stressed, help lower blood pressure and they'll help you exercise more often. I've already walk an extra mile or two since we adopted our new best friend.
