Ocean City Police Warn Residents of Sales Scam

The Ocean City Police Department has issued a warning to residents about the possiblity of a door to door sales scam.

According to NBC 40.net,  police have recieved reports from reisdents concerning the scam. A salesperson form a company called "Anchors Away" has been going door to door and trying to sell frozen foods. The company has been targeting eldery residents who can easily be intimated with a high-pressure sales pitch. The salesman will ask the reident to commit to a large down payment for a big order to be deliverd at a later date.

The sales person is using a white unmarked van, or sports utility vehicle  to drive around and go door to door. Police are reminding residents to make sure any salesperson can produce valid photo identification. If you have any doubts or anthing seems suspiciois contact the Ocean City Police immediately.
