As we wrap up this first week on March, we all have an eye on spring -- that time of year when we think about fresh starts, spring cleaning, blooming flowers and all that goes along with a milder season.

It's a good time to start thinking about 'spring cleaning' your budget too!

First of all, if you don't keep track of your monthly budget, you should start. It was the one thing I started doing years ago that really keeps me (and my money) on track.

I know longer have those times when I am stressed about how I'm going to pay a bill (meanwhile two weeks earlier I splurged on things I shouldn't have.)

When you keep a constant eye on your money, you stay in control! That said, take a look at your budget, and see if there are any places you can 'clean up.'

Are you spending too much per month of clothes? Coffee? Dinners out?

Sometimes you have to force yourself to reign it in...long-term you'll appreciate it!

This week, we add $43 to our savings, bringing our total to $475. Way to go!
