Miss America’s New TV Deal for 2016

Miss America Competition has just signed a new three-year contract with ABC TV. The new contract will bee be good through 2018.  Will Atlantic City still be the home for the pageant in 2016?According to the Press of Atlantic City,  'A contract between the organization and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority expires this year. Also unknown is how much of an economic impact the pageant has had on the city since its move from Las Vegas'. 

The Miss America Organization and the CRDA have been in negotiations to keep the pageant in Atlantic City. The Miss America Pageant came back to AC in 2013 after spending eight years in Las Vegas.

The Miss America Pageant aired on ABC TV in September. Over 8 million viewers watched Georgia's Betty Cantrell take the 2016 Miss America Crown.
