Middle Township Police are searching for, and asking for the public's help in finding, a man who grabbed a teenager Wednesday evening.

Cops say they received a call from a 16-year-old Wednesday evening. The teen said that while walking on 2nd Street in Rio Grande around 5:30, a man grabbed him by the shirt and neck. The teen was able to fight the man off by punching him in the face. The man then got into his car and fled the area.

During an interview, the teen said the man never tried to get him into his car nor did he attempt to take anything from the teen.

The vehicle was described as an early-2000s dark blue or black Honda Civic. The subject is reported to be a white male, about 5’ 10” tall, around 200 pounds, in his late 40’s, with a 5 o’clock shadow.
