It's a new year, which means the Elephants for Autism Music Festival in Mays Landing is preparing for it's annual celebration of awareness on May 19th. In honor of many children out there who are battling Autism like young Peter, it's important that we shine a light on the affects that the disorder may have on developing kids.

Casey from PA reached out to us via Twitter regarding Peter Pagats, who was just 15-years-old when he took his own life just last week. His family was completely unaware that Peter was suffering from any sort of depression or sadness considering that autism affects an individuals social and communication abilities.

In which case, The Elephants for Autism Music Festival is a great way to make people aware of what kids and families with Autism go through, and how we as a community can help!

The goal this year is to help give kids with special needs a chance to shine through music and the arts, regardless of financial background. Therefore, all money raised at the event will go to a local music non profit, stages and sound for the event, some t-shirts and Cd's, and also some much needed advertising to help spread the word!
