It's been a long time since I've been really excited about seeing a movie.  Don't get me wrong...I love going to the movies, no matter what is playing.  But when it's a movie that really interests me, that's awesome!

When I saw the trailer for 'Danny Collins', I was like, "Gotta see this!".  It's a movie about a musician (played by Al Pacino, no less).  What's not to like??  So I did see it.  And guess what?  Loved it!

Though it was somewhat predictable, Al Pacino (along with Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner, Christopher Plummer and more) did a fine job.  It was funny, entertaining, and above all, heartfelt.

Al Pacino stars as Danny Collins, an aging 70s rocker, who still wants to live the rock 'n' roll lifestyle.  But then his manager (Christopher Plummer) finds a 40 year-old undelivered letter written to Danny by John Lennon. This is life-changing (well, almost) for Danny, who changes gears and starts to see his life much differently. He is looking for redemption from his family and while he is on this new path, he discovers what is truly important in life.  :)
