'50 Shades of Grey' has already grossed over $150M at the box office.  That's astounding to me, considering the awful reviews.  So what is luring so many people to flock to theaters all over the country to see it?  The answer is simple...curiosity.  That's what finally drove me to see it.  I kept telling myself it wasn't worth seeing, and I was going to be disappointed.  And (surprise!), I was right.

But I must say I'm glad I saw it.  I wanted to see what all the hype was about.  I didn't read the book, so I cannot make comparisons.  However, I do see a lot of movies, so I can tell you this.  '50 Shades' has no redeeming qualities, although I did enjoy the soundtrack.  The music was really good!  And the movie was consistent...from beginning to end, it was consistently bad.  There was a lack of chemistry between the two main characters.  The story line was not all that, and neither was the acting.

Despite all of that, I'm glad I saw it so I can give you some important advice...Don't bother seeing it!  I know you're curious just like the rest of us.  That will pass, and you will have missed nothing.  But if you simply must go see it, then so be it.  Let me know what you think.  And I will say to you exactly what others are now saying to me.  "I TOLD YOU SO.".  :)
