Marlene’s Movie Madness : RiffTrax Live: Sharknado 2: The Second One [VIDEO]

hero30/thinkstock[/caption]It's hard to believe that as much as I love Shark Week, I have never even seen "Sharknado 2" (or the first "Sharknado", for that matter). So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when I heard that 'Sharknado 2 : The Second One" is showing tomorrow at 8pm at Regal Cinemas Hamilton Commons 14 in Mays Landing. Yay!!

The film "Sharknado" became an instant campy classic when it was released on Syfy in 2013, followed by the sequel which came out last year. And apparently it doesn't matter much if you see the sequel without having seen the first one.

Sharknado 2 : The Second One," has pretty much the same plot as "Sharknado." But instead of taking place in Los Angeles, the sequel moves to New York City. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid must battle a tornado that drops a bunch of sharks onto the Big Apple. Yikes!!

The RiffTrax team is Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett, formerly of "Mystery Science Theater 3000." I don't know about you, but I was a big fan of Mystery Science Theater. Funny stuff!

So celebrate Shark Week with "Sharknado 2" tomorrow night at Regal Cinemas Hamilton Commons 14 in Mays Landing. And if you can't make it, they will be showing it again on Tuesday, July 16th. As for me, it only seems right to see "Sharknado 2" during Shark Week. And after tomorrow night, I may never wanna visit the Big Apple again. :)
