Marlene’s DVD Review : This Is Where I Leave You [VIDEO]

Kevin Winter/Getty Images[/caption]'This Is Where I Leave You' is a movie about a dysfunctional family. Like many of us, I can certainly relate to that. The cast includes Jason Bateman as one of the sons, Tina Fey as the daughter, and Jane Fonda as the mother. When I saw the list of cast members (especially Tina Fey), I pretty much knew I was gonna like it.

When their father passes away, four siblings go back to their childhood home and are asked by their opinionated mother to stay there together for a week, along with their spouses/significant others. As they are forced to interact with one another, they reconnect in ways they never thought possible.

I must admit I totally enjoyed the flick. I expected it to be predictable, but there were some unexpected twists. While it was funny in a cute way, it dealt with a few dramatic issues. But it was basically lighthearted fun, which is just what I wanted. So if you like a pretty simple story line with some fun actors & a few surprises along the way, then go watch 'This Is Where I Leave You.' OK...This is where I leave you. Enjoy the movie. :)
