The best kind of exercise is the kind that doesn't feel like exercise, right?  If you're having so much fun that you forget you're exercising, then that's a win-win situation.  I always say that when it comes to exercise, do what you enjoy.  That way you will stay with it and make it part of a healthy lifestyle.

I mix up my exercise routine, but for me my absolute favorite thing to do is Zumba.  The music comes from many dance styles including cumbia, salsa, merengue, mambo, flamenco, chachacha, reggaeton, samba, tango, and even hip hop.  A Zumba class really feels like a party!  The music is fun and upbeat and so are the moves.  And you don't have to be a professional dancer to pick up the basic moves.  Trust me.  I'm not exactly coordinated, but with Zumba it doesn't really matter much.  What matters is your willingness to shake it and just have fun!  Yeah, I can do that.  LOL

And the thing with Zumba is that nobody's watching you.  Everyone is too busy getting into the music and having a blast.  The music is catchy and it's hard not to smile and jump and even yell a little (in a good way!).

If you've always wanted to try Zumba but you feel intimidated, do what most people do the first time.  Stand in the back and give yourself enough room, so you're not bumping into your fellow classmates.  Just keep smiling, keep moving, and in no time you will see why Zumba is such a huge hit all over the globe.  C'mon...join the party!  :)
