Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.
This week we met Marla the dog....

Here is some information on Marla from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

“Marla is a female Papillon mix, who is  9-years young! She is an adorable little lady with plenty of spunk. Weighing in at just over 5lbs, Marla is a wonderful companion doggie looking for her forever home. Friendly and outgoing, Marla makes friends quickly, especially if you like to play.

She loves for you to sit on the floor with her and ruffle a toy or pat your hands around, she is quite the character! Marla is also a confident and independent girl, proudly prancing on her walks. Marla has plenty of energy for a middle-aged girl, but just as much enjoys snuggling on the couch and offering you her belly for much desired rubs!

Marla is looking for a less busy home with a family looking for a companion also. It is unknown how Marla may be with cats or other doggies (doggie meet n greet required and by appt only), and children should be older (~12 & up) due to her size (tiny) and personality. Marla is an absolute delight of a doggie who will make an excellent companion. If you are interested in learning more and meeting Marla, please call or stop in to the HSOC today

If you would like to visit Marla or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-398-9500#1 or stop in any day between 11a-3p.
