Mariah Carey Recording New Music for The ‘Oz and the Great and Powerful’ Soundtrack [VIDEO]

The soundtrack for the upcoming adventure film ‘Oz and the Great and Powerful’ will feature at least one great and powerful diva, because Mariah Carey has signed on to contribute the song ‘Almost Home.’

The single drops on Feb. 19 and the video debuts on March 8, the same day ‘Oz’ arrives in theaters. Based on the fact that Carey co-produced the track with Stargate, we’re guessing it’s an up-tempo tune. Mariah is also prepping a new album for a possible spring release.
