Once again, it's time to take a look at some of awesome towns to settle in and grow some roots in South Jersey, including the historic village of Mays Landing.

Mays Landing is about 20 miles west of Atlantic City. There's so much history associated with this cool town. According to Wikipedia, Mays Landing was named after Captain George May, who sailed the Great Egg Harbor River back in 1740. May also bought the land soon to become Mays Landing in 1756.

There are so many fun things to do in Mays Landing including shopping at the Hamilton Mall or visiting the Jersey Shore Children’s Museum. I absolutely love spending time on Main Street in the historic downtown section. It's a great place to shop or enjoy a meal. The Ye Olde Mill Street Pub is one of my favorites!

What's your favorite part of living in Mays Landing?
