Federal government employees and members of the Coast guard in South Jersey impacted by the partial government shutdown got some good news from a local hospital Monday.

Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House announced Monday that they will waive all co-pays and deductibles for any emergency room visit by a government employee or an immediate family member until the shutdown is resolved. These co-pays can add up to $150 to any doctor's appointment, hospital or urgent visit.

As these local folks deal with the harsh realities of how to make mortgage and rent payments, buy groceries and pay bills with no income coming in, it's good to see more and more South Jersey businesses and companies stepping forward to help.
