Holiday Food Drive Aims to Help Restore the Shore
Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG’s Holiday Food Drive, which we had been planning to kick off this Saturday, got a slight adjustment in its focus this week when South Jersey was slammed by Hurricane Sandy! So, we’ve expanded… our annual collection of non-perishable foods and frozen turkeys for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey Southern Branch to include items flood victims need the most.
Flood victims need cleaning supplies. Liquid dish detergent, liquid laundry detergents and disinfectants. Include household sponges and large buckets with seal-able lids. Do not include buckets formerly used for storing chemicals. Flood victims need work gloves and heavy duty trash bags.soap, gloves, sheets, receiving blankets, plastic sheeting and plastic bags to help keep birthing areas and newborn babies clean. Flood relief victims with new babies also need diapers, baby clothes, bottles, formula and clean water. Please keep these items in mind as well as non-perishable foods and frozen turkeys.
Help Lite Rock stuff the Gentilini Rocky Ridge Truck this Saturday from 11-1pm at ShopRite in Somers Point.
Help Lite Rock Restore the Shore by giving what you can at this Saturday’s Food Drive! The Lite Rock Holiday Food Drive is powered by D’Arcy Johnson Day, where one case matters…yours! Call them today for a free cosnultation at 609-641-6200.
