Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.
All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met Lily the cat....

Here is some information on Lily from the Humane Society of Ocean City: “Lily” is a domestic short hair, Torti cat and is approximately 1½ years old. She, her sister Morticia and 13 kittens were found abandoned at our shelter this past July.

They were all dehydrated, malnourished, anemic and covered in fleas. After months in foster care raising their babies and recovering from being mistreated they girls have returned to the shelter to find their forever homes.

“Lily” is a sweet playful young girl who would probably do best as an only cat or with a single quite kitty housemate. Lily would prefer a household with no dogs or young children."
