Firefighters worked through the night fighting a two-alarm fire at the Heathercroft Townhouses in Egg Harbor Township.

The fire, first reported around 11:45pm at 383 Heathercroft, quickly spread to two-alarms, with flames shooting out through the roof of the building, that were visible from the Garden State Parkway.

Many residents of the Heathercroft condo complex, off of Hingston Avenue were evacuated . Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township was shut down for a time during the fire.

The fire was declared under control early this morning.
