I wanted to pass on word about a  great local program which is nurturing the love of  the water in South Jersey.  Just-Sailing, a non-profit group encouraging the love and learning of sailing, has a full slate of programs, events, and classes scheduled for this year at Lake Lenape in Mays Landing...

Lake Lenape is a terrific environment for first time sailors  and,  parents, family, and friends can watch from the shoreline.

This year's programs include sailing classes for adults and kids  ages ten and older beginning early this Spring.

This Saturday, January 7th, kids are invited to a program by the Americorps Watershed Ambassadors about the Atlantic County Estuaries  and how to make your own bamboo fishing pole!

Everyone is welcome at an Open House January 21st,  where you can check our everything Just- Sailing is offering in 2012. For more information, call Jessica, executive director,  at 609- 214-5176.

I would love to get your feedback below on this story and these related questions.

Did you ever learn to sail?  Who taught you?

Do you know of kids or adults who would like to learn to sail?

Do you ever spend time at Lake Lenape Park , or in the Atlantic County Parks System?
