Advisories

--A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for the entire Jersey Shore until 1 a.m. Wednesday. 2 feet of storm surge from Jose may cause minor to moderate flooding of tidal waterways at the time of high tide.
--A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the entire Jersey Shore until 6 p.m. Tuesday. 8 to 15 foot ocean waves will cause extremely hazardous conditions, in addition to beach erosion.
--A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for the waters 20 miles off-shore, calling for 40 to 45 knot winds through Tuesday evening.
--Seriously. There is a hurricane less than 250 miles off the Jersey Shore. Just stay out of the water today, please.

TONIGHT: Tropical storm conditions possible. N winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 12 to 13 ft. Mainly in E swell with a dominant period of 13 seconds. Showers likely early in the evening, then a chance of showers in the late evening and overnight.

WED: N winds 25 to 30 kt, becoming NW 15 to 20 kt in the afternoon. Gusts up to 30 kt in the afternoon. Seas around 11 ft, subsiding to 7 ft in the afternoon. Mainly in E swell with a dominant period of 12 seconds.

WED NIGHT: NW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt after midnight. Seas 5 to 6 ft. Mainly in E swell with a dominant period of 11 seconds.
