If you were hosting the 2016 Tony Awards and had all of Broadway at your disposal, it would only make sense to enlist the best of today's onstage talent to ask for some pointers, right?

James Corden called upon Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with fellow Broadway vets Audra McDonald (Shuffle Along), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Fully Committed) and Jane Krakowski (She Loves Me) for his latest Carpool Karaoke installment.

The Late Night host, who will act as emcee during Sunday night's (June 12) broadcast, first picked up Miranda. He told Corden that being nominated for a record 16 Tonys has him less nervous than he was attending the show back in 2008, when Miranda's first musical In The Heights was nominated for (and won) Best Musical.

"It’s funny, I had a show up for the Tonys. My first show was In The Heights, which won, but we were all unknown," Miranda said. "The show was an unknown quantity and we knew we needed to win stuff in order to run. I was really nervous. I was excited, but I was nervous. Hamilton’s selling fine so I don’t feel that kind of pressure."

After a rousing rendition of "Alexander Hamilton" and "Guns and Ships" (the latter of which included some impressive, rapid-fire delivery from Corden), the pair picked up McDonald, Tyler and Krakowski for more Tonys talk and show tunes. (Predictably, the opening chords of Rent's "Seasons of Love" elicited "awww"s from everyone in the car.)

Watch the video above to see what advice Lin-Manuel Miranda, Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane Krakowski have for Corden's first-time hosting stint, and stick around to watch McDonald deliver a show-stopping performance during the group's singalong of Les Miserables' "One Day More."
