Harry Hiltner has never smoked, so when he was diagnosed with lung cancer last August, he must have wondered how it was possible.  The truth is, although rare, non-smokers do get lung cancer.  By the time Harry found out his diagnosis, the cancer had metastasized and spread to different parts of his body.

Harry has been a cop on the Galloway Township force... for 19 years. He has a wife, Jean, and two daughters, Ashley and Lisa.  Jean has been forced to take a leave of absence from her job with the Galloway School system to help Harry.   As is the case so often when cancer strikes a family, it has taken an emotional and financial strain.

The Sunday's "Help For Harry" benefit, put together by friends, family and loved ones, is being held at the Carriage House,  25 South Pitney Road, in Galloway Township from 5-8p.m.  Tickets are $20 and include food, beer, wine and soda along with music, actions and door prizes.

You can still help Harry even if you can't attend this Sunday. Donations for "Help For Harry" are now being accepted at any TD Bank.
