Duran Duran are on the road this summer with the second leg of an extensive tour around North America. The Paper Gods Tour, featuring opening act Chic with Nile Rodgers plays the BB&T Pavilion on the Camden waterfront this Thursday.

The Duran Duran concert tour is receiving glowing reviews at every stop, like this one from the South Florida Insider...

“Music was only part of the attraction as Duran Duran displayed a visual onslaught that was entertainment all its own. During their performance an ever-changing video backdrop created scenes of floating faces, fire and trippy-like neon lighting that had the crowd simply in awe. Still, it was obvious the crowd was ready for the band to dive right into their plethora hits, which incredibly spans three decades.

Kicking things off was Paper Gods from their 14th studio album of the same name. Thereafter the hits kept piling and while there were a few notable singles not present like The Reflex, the setlist compiled huge singalongs to Wild Boys, Hungry Like the Wolf, Planet Earth (with a mix of David Bowie’s Space Odditiy), Ordinary World, A View to a Kill, Come Undone, Notorious, New Moon on Monday, a cover of Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel’s White Lines and plenty more.

One of the best highlights of the night was when front-man Simon Le Bon spoke to the crowd about the recent loss of legendary musician Prince and the impact he had on their music and really the world. Soon after, in a tribute he turned the stage purple before going into Save a Prayer. The night closed with Rio among a sea of cell phone lights, which featured a stunning sax-driven solo.”
