Galloway's Mara Justine passed the audition in the Hollywood round of American Idol Monday, belting out the bluesy Etta James song “Something’s Got a Hold of Me”and advancing to the show's top 24.  Mara, the show's youngest contestant, is a 16-year old sophomore at Absegami High School in Galloway.

Although she advanced to the next round, Mara's appearance on Idol Monday came with a critique from the show's Katy Perry, for too many stage theatrics or putting "too much frosting on a beautiful cake" as Katy put it.
