"No more teachers, no more books".... here comes summer vacation in South Jersey.

While many of us start dreaming about summer fun spent on bike rides, amusement piers, chilling at the beach or munching on an ice cream cone, things aren't so rosy for families struggling just to get by.

When school ends for the summer, so do the free and reduced-cost meals schools provide to kids from low-income families in South Jersey.

One program helping those locals in need, Galloway Food and Fun, will provide free meals to children again when school lets out for the summer.

A Facebook post from the organization promises even more help this summer.

"BIG plans are happening for the Galloway Summer Food and Fun Program!! We will be using Wrangleboro Field on Wrangleboro Rd. this year!

We have received a grant from the No Kid Hungry/Share Our Strength Organization so this year we will be bigger and better!! Watch this FB Page for info on upcoming Information and Registration Sessions as well as a Kick-Off Event YOU won't want to miss!!"

Meals are available to any child 18 and younger. Meal times will be 12:30-2:30pm Monday through Friday, from July 5 to August 26, at the Wrangleboro Recreational Field.

For more information, you can call 609-338-9845.

By the way, volunteers are needed to help serve the meals this summer.
