Galloway Man Charged With Murdering Mays Landing Man

A Mays Landing man is dead following a shooting last night in Mays Landing.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain says Michael Black, 31, was shot last night, and later declared dead at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Hospital - City Division.

According to McClain, a 9-1-1 call came in just before 7:30 last night. Authorities responded to the call at a home in the 5900 block of Elmhurst Drive. There they found Black with the gunshot wound.

An investigation led to the arrest of Dennis Munoz, 36,  of Galloway.

Munoz was charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a handgun, and was committed to the Atlantic County Justice
Facility on bail set by Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Wild at $1,000,000 cash no 10%.
