Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG and Tanger Outlets Spring Fashion Week gave listeners the opportunity for  local finalists to compete on stage to win one of two $500 Tanger Shopping Sprees for best style and best value during Fashion Week.

Contestants had 96 minutes and a $200 budget to create a look to be judged on a scale of 1 to 10 for best style and  best value. Midday Host Marlene Aqua hosted the contest and  Tanger Outlets put on a fashion show of this season’s fashions from several stores at The Walk!

Easter Egg Hunt

The 8th Annual Lite Rock Easter Egg Hunt, was the social event of the season for the ten and under crowd, despite the cloudy weather at South Jersey’s Field of Dreams in Absecon.  Kids had a blast collecting eggs, getting candy, jumping in the Petrosh Big Top Jumpy, facepainting, and taking pictures with the Easter Bunny!

As many know, the Revel is ready to throw open it’s doors and debut it’s Mega Resort on Memorial Day weekend with a soft opening in the beginning of April.  I was lucky enough to get a preview of the property and lucky for those of you that can’t wait, I took along my handy little camera and started snapping away! Check out my pics in the gallery below.  You will see inside the retail space, the restaurants, bars and even inside Ovation Hall, which will debut with The Black Keys, Maroon 5 & Beyonce!  So watcha think? The South Jersey Spelling Bee was held this weekend at Absegami High School where  students from local schools competed for the title of South Jersey Spelling Bee Champion. The champion was Ebose Eigbe of Roland Rogers Elementary School and will go on to Washington, DC for a chance to win it all at the televised Scripps National Spelling Bee. In 2nd place was Paras Shah of Emma C. Attales Middle School and 3rd place was Jewel Foster of Galloway Township Middle School!  Congratulations to all the school champions who participated!
