Free Tax Prep Assistance Offered at Stockton’s Kramer Hall

It's tax time again, and these days just about everyone can use some affordable help sorting through the complications of the 1040 form.  

For the second year, the Hammonton campus of Stockton University is offering free assistance preparing tax returns, in a program funded by the Internal Revenue Service.

Here are details about this program being offered in Kramer Hall on Stockton's Hammonton campus.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), a program funded by the Internal Revenue Service to help taxpayers, is returning to Stockton University’s Kramer Hall, 30 Front St. in Hammonton, N.J., for its second year.

Nick Tiberio, VITA’s Atlantic County site coordinator, will be available on Thursdays from Feb. 2 - April 14 at 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and 1-3:30 p.m.  No appointments are necessary this year.

Parking is available and free at Kramer Hall.  Front desk security will direct participants to the proper room after they sign in.

“We had much success last year and anticipate a larger tax client turnout for the 2016 tax filing season,” said Tiberio.
