New Jersey's annual "Free Fishing Days" are this Saturday and Sunday. Here's your chance to sample the state's public waterways without a license or a trout stamp.

"Free Fishing Days in New Jersey...offer something for everyone",  according to State Senate President Steve Sweeney (D., Gloucester). " I encourage all our residents to head out and enjoy our parks and forests."

An annual fishing license for state residents, ages 16 to 64 costs $22.50; non-residents pay $34. A license for seniors age 64-69 is $12.50.  A trout stamp is $10.50 for residents and $ $20 for non-residents. Trout fishing in New Jersey requires a license and a stamp.
