Five people were injured while riding personal watercraft Sunday in South Jersey.

State Police said four people were injured Sunday afternoon when two personal watercraft collided head-on near the 34th Street Bridge in Ocean City, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

State Trooper Alejandro Goez said one person received multiple injuries and was airlifted to an Atlantic City hospital. The other three victims were transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

At about the same time - in a separate indecent - a woman was airlifted to the hospital in Atlantic City after the personal watercraft she was riding ran aground in Galloway Township. No further details were immediately available.
