Firefighters from Ocean City worked for about two hours to contain a fire in a warehouse on West Avenue Tuesday.

The fire started in the rear of a warehouse building behind Johnson's Appliances on the 900 block of West Avenue, according to the OCNJ Daily.

"The fire started at the rear of the building, and the locked-up metal building provided a challenge for firefighters to gain access, Fire Chief Chris Breunig said. But once they were inside and able to see, they were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
