This is it! The final week of our collection for Lite Rock's Valentines for the Troops.  Won't you help us send love to American servicemen and women serving overseas?

For 12 years, Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG has teamed up with American Recreation Military Services to send American soldiers some South Jersey love.

Valentines for the Troops helps put valentines in the hands of New Jersey military personnel who are presently deployed.

This year we have a special focus on the 6000 troops aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf. This carrier is filled with active NJ military members.

Please help us remember them and show them some New Jersey love by donating homemade valentines cards, chocolates, and small teddy bears.

This year, we’ve also been asked to make a special appeal for the following items:

  • Monetary donations – to mail packages
  • Small microwavable foods – ex: Dinty Moore Stew
  • White socks
  • Peanuts
  • Small cereal
  • Small fruit cup

You can drop your valentines off at the Lite Rock studio, 950 Tilton Road in Northfield, Monday thru Friday between 8:30 AM & 5 PM. The deadline is Friday, February 10th at 5 PM. Schools, churches and civic groups…we really need your help this year!

Thank you in advance for sending love to our soldiers with Valentines for the Troops!
