Additional Information

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation (MTJF) was started in 2007 by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr. and long-time girlfriend, Sherry Pollex.  The foundation relies on the generosity of donors, partners and corporate sponsors passionate about our mission to help children in need.  Funding supports critical programs and initiatives such as our Backpack Program, which feeds hungry children in local schools around North Carolina and the Martin Truex Jr. Special Needs Fund at Levine Children’s Hospital, which provides much needed financial assistance for families of children being treated at the hospital in Charlotte, NC.  The Foundation is also proud to announce the construction of the Martin Truex Jr. Pediatric Care Center at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Martin’s home state of New Jersey.

Our Mission…

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation is “hooked on helping” and dedicated to positively impacting the lives of children in need.  The foundation partners with organizations that are limited in funding and visibility who touch the lives of children stricken by illness, neglect and poverty.  It is through generous donations, lasting partnerships and various events that the foundation is able to continue this mission.  Together we can improve lives, inspire smiles and encourage dreams…one child at a time.

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation has 3 major areas of focus related to children: Illnesses and Disabilities, Hunger, Homelessness, Abuse and Neglect.
The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation has made a $250,000 commitment to Southern Ocean Medical Center for the new pediatric center building expansion project.
